This is the fourth installment in this whipped soap collection and I am very excited to share a whipped soap specifically formulated for cleaning the face. In this activated charcoal facial whipped soap, I included both activated charcoal and bentonite clay. Activated charcoal cleanses the skin, unclogs pores, and helps remove deeper impurities and it is also a mild exfoliant. Bentonite clay is another great ingredient for facial soap because it absorbs dirt and oil from the skin. It is also considered calming for the skin because of all the vitamins and minerals in it.

Ingredients and materials to make activated charcoal facial whipped soap
- 3.5 oz foaming bath butter
- 1 tbsp Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 1/2 tsp Vitamin E Oil
- 1 tsp activated charcoal
- 1 tsp bentonite clay
- 3 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
- 2 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
- Hand mixer
- Mixing bowls
- 1 – 4 oz jars with lid
How to make Activated Charcoal Facial Whipped Soap
Separate 3.5 ounces from the foaming bath butter soap base container and whip for approximately two to three minutes. It will start to fluff and will be easier to whip. I like this foaming bath butter for the face because it is a very mild base and it just makes lots and lots of lather.
Once the base has been whipped for a few minutes add the fractionated coconut oil and the vitamin E oil and whip for a few more minutes to incorporate fully.
Add the activated charcoal and bentonite clay and the essential oils if using. Continue to whip for another two to three minutes until fully combined and enough air is incorporated to get a fluffy consistency.
Lastly, put the activated charcoal facial whipped soap in the plastic jars to save and use as needed. This is a wonderful facial soap. It is mild that can be used daily for oily skin. For dry skin, I recommend starting by using this soap once a week and seeing how it works for you but it is just lovely on the skin and your face will feel refreshed and thoroughly clean.

Hi Amy, absolutely. Yes you can use kaolin clay instead of bentonite clay. Kaolin clay is also great for skin care products.
