Today I am sharing a slightly different type of post. I am testing a new face soap formulation. I’ve shared a face soap before on this website and used my favorite, tried and true formulation for the best face soap. In this new formulation I am trying today, I am using the original formulation and then modifying it to eliminate the use of Mango Seed Butter and Grapeseed Oil. I love using both of them in my soap formulations, and always have them on hand, but I also love experimenting. So, I am experimenting and creating something new for those who want a simpler formulation with fewer ingredients. While my main goal for this soap is to be a face soap, it is a great body soap as well.

For this all-natural cold process soap, I chose to make a simple design with most of the soap in black with the activated charcoal and a hanger swirl using rose clay. Both ingredients are perfect for an all-natural face soap that is not only practical but also a fun piece of art.

This all-natural cold process face soap is not only a staple at home. My family requests it all the time. Watch the video below to see the full process on how I make this face soap with a new testing soap recipe.

Additives for the cold process face soap
Activated charcoal is great for the skin because it can absorb toxins and draw out impurities like oil, dirt, sweat, and makeup. Activated charcoal is recognized in the cosmetic industry and through research as highly beneficial for detoxing all skin types, and it does not cause allergic reactions or irritation. Activated charcoal is also great for gently exfoliating the skin, revealing beautiful skin.
Rose clay, also known as pink clay or rose kaolin clay, is one of the most gentle clays, being non-drying and mild. It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, and troubled skin. Rose clay is great for soothing the skin, minimizing blackheads, and replenishing essential minerals.

Hello, I’m definetly going to be trying this and your lemonade soap. I am new at soap making, and Ilove your videos and detailed info. Where did you purchase the soap cutter?
Thank you,
Hello, I am so glad that you are going to try to make the lemonade soap. I am also delighted that you enjoy the videos. Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me know 💕. I purchased the soap cutter on Etsy from plowboyzwoodshop back in 2018 and I love it.
Thank you. I did make the soap, but I had to alter the ingredients. I also realized after making the batter that next time, I will have to double the recipe. For some reason I did not get the notification that you had responded to my post. I will check my spam.
