Whipped soap is so versatile and you can make one variation as unique as each member of the family. The whipped soap is super luxurious on the skin and is also great for keeping the skin moisturized. The added oils add a layer of great moisture without impacting the lather. For this recipe, I also added vegetable glycerin which is a humectant and attracts moisture to the skin for even more skin benefits.
With the extra oils, colors, and fragrance you can create a different variation for any occasion. Today I am sharing a whipped soap scrub using coffee grounds and brown sugar as exfoliants.
I have been making soaps for several years and whipped soap can be made from scratch with sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and stearic acid along with oils and butters. However, it takes time and a four week cure time. For whipped soap, I prefer to purchase the whipped soap base because I like to have it readily available when I want to make a quick variation. The whipped soap base is known as a foaming bath butter. The whipped soap base I use is fantastic and makes lots of creamy bubbles and can take additional oils and butters without impacting its efficacy and lather.
Making whipped soap using the soap base is very easy and only requires a few additional ingredients to create a unique product.

How to make Coffee and Brown Sugar whipped soap scrub
The foaming whipped soap base comes in a sealed plastic container and looks a lot like a regular melt and pour soap base but is softer and easy to whip. Separate 8 ounces from the foaming bath butter soap base container and whip for approximately two to three minutes. It will start to fluff and will be easier to whip.
Once the base has been whipped for a few minutes add the golden jojoba oil, avocado oil, vegetable glycerin, and vitamin E oil and whip for a few more minutes to fully incorporate. Add the cappuccino fragrance or your favorite essential oil if using. Continue to whip for another two to three minutes until fully combined and enough air is incorporated to get a fluffy and airy consistency.
Other oils that are great for this recipe and great for the skin that can replace the jojoba oil are sweet almond oil, olive oil, or rice bran oil.
How to color the super skin loving coffee and brown sugar whipped soap scrub
Since we are only using one color for this recipe you can add the mica colorant and incorporate it by whipping the soap for a few more minutes. I like to combine the mica colorants using a spatula first to avoid creating a cloud of colorant then mix with the hand mixer to fully combine.
Then add the coffee grounds and brown sugar and continue to whip for another 2 to 3 minutes until fully incorporated.
Lastly, transfer the Coffee and Brown Sugar whipped soap scrub into the mason jars. Make sure to spritz some rubbing alcohol in the mason jars and let it air dry before transferring the whipped soap scrub.

What purpose does the glycerin serve. Can i replace with additional oil?
jasmine@eccentricitiesbyjvg.com says
Glycerin pulls water from the air to keep the skin hydrated, you can certainly replace with your favorite oil.

Why spritz alcohol in the jars?
jasmine@eccentricitiesbyjvg.com says
I like to do this to make sure they are clean and prevent bacteria or anything coming from the surface. I allow the alcohol to fully dry before I fill the jars. It is a way to sanitize the jars.

How long is this good for? (:
jasmine@eccentricitiesbyjvg.com says
Hello, this whipped soap is good for a couple of months, due to the added sugar. If you need it to last longer, I recommend you add a preservative to the formulation. I recommend Optiphen Plus
