Is it fall already?
Oh, where has this year gone? It is moving too fast. I am excited that it is fall already because I love the season and the colors of the season but it feels like somehow the year has gone too fast.

I have been so busy working on the soap business and it has been a wonderful experience. The learning and personal growth have been great. I have learned so much! You can visit the shop here.
Today I wanted to share a simple project for autumn.
I found these pumpkins on sale sometime last year along with the napkins that I have used. I was waiting for the perfect moment to use them and it seems it is now the time.
Simple decoupage autumn pumpkins
First gather the materials, for this project you will need:
- Pumpkins to decoupage
- Your favorite Autumn paper napkins
- mod podge
- foam brushes
- brown paint
- small paint brush
- raffia
- Autumn leaves in green and orange
The napkins usually have a backing, remove the backing. This will make the paper thinner and easier to decoupage onto the pumpkins.
Then apply a thin coat of mod podge to the pumpkins before applying the napkin cut-out. I recommend cutting the napkin into small squares or rectangles so that it is easier to contour to the shape of the pumpkins. It will have some wrinkles, but it is OK, it’s part of the look that I wanted to achieve and with the shape of the pumpkins there will be some. This could be minimized by cutting the squares into smaller pieces to try to achieve a smoother surface.
Allow the pumpkins to dry. I rotated the pumpkins every few minutes so that the bottoms did not stick to my working surface.
Lastly, paint the stem.
I made some quilted fabric pumpkins project that is also fun and simple project as well. You can take a look at those here.
I wrapped and knotted the raffia to the stem and added some fabric Autumn leaves to finish these beautiful decoupage Autumn pumpkins.
I think these turned out beautiful and perfect for home décor.
