I found this to be a great idea for a kids party. Kids can make it themselves with some adult supervision and also take it as a party favor at the end of the party. These melt and pour soaps harden fairly quickly which is one of the reasons its a good project idea for a kids party.
Of course make sure that these are done with an adult because the soap can get fairly hot but it is still great for kids that can handle the weight of the soap and measuring cup with proper precautions. Kids oven mittens may be required.
Making these embossed soaps party favors is not only a great project for kids but is also a great idea for a fun time with friends. I have participated in some DIY parties and I have not only enjoyed the creations, learned a lot but also got to take great products home that I continue to make and use almost daily.
Ingredients and Instructions
Ingredients:
- Shea butter melt and pour soap base
- Embossing soap stamps
- Soap colorants
- Soap mold
- Measuring cups to melt the base soap
- Spoons for mixing
- Fragrance or essential oils (optional)
DIY Embossed soap party favors instructions
Set up the soap mold for embossing by setting the embossing soap stamps facing upward in the mold. Allow some spacing in between to allow to cut the soaps into rectangles.
Cut the shea butter melt and pour soap base into small cubes and split equally into the measuring cups. In this case I only used two colors that of course my daughter selected, but at the party make sure that every one has a say.
Melt the shea butter soap base in 30 seconds intervals until fully melted. Add colorants and fragrance (optional).
Allow temperature of the soap used to reach a temperature within five degrees to each other. This will allow the two colors to remain separate and give a beautiful swirl design to the soaps.
Pour using a double pour method – both colors at the same time. If using more than two colors you will need some extra hands from a helper but it certainly can bring more intricate designs to the soaps.
Allow the soap to cool, for a few hours.
After the soap is cooled, unmold the embossed soaps party favors and cut into rectangles.
Remove the embossing soap stamps to reveal your beautiful creations.
I think these turned out beautiful. I like the contrast of the two colors and the fun swirls.
Package accordingly for party favors and enjoy!
These party favors will be great for hand washing next to the sink as well. And great for small spaces as well.

Jasmine, I love to see cakes slices of soap ! The embossing is a bonus. Sometime back, we were hosting a party favor company, and some of our clients wanted customized soap bars too. These look like they are out from a boutique.
Thank you for sharing your soap favors at Meraki Link Party. Hope you join again.
