Today I want to share this home décor idea and show you that bringing a bit of uniqueness and beauty to the home can be done with a few simple materials and a bit of creativity and imagination.
Materials needed for the framed flowers DIY:
- 2 small craft wood frames
- various lovely flowers for framing – I purchased the ones used in this DIY at Hobby Lobby
- acrylic paint in green and pink
- moss
- hot glue gun with sticks
How to frame flowers for home décor
First paint the small wood frames using the acrylic paint. I painted one frame in pink and one in green. Lovely colors for Spring but also for any pink and green home decorating. With the acrylic paint I used, I only needed one heavy coat and the frames turned out beautiful.
Allow the painted frames to dry and in the meantime cut the flowers to the specific size needed and define the layout. I used green and pink small roses that I bought at Hobby Lobby some time ago. I saw these flowers and fell absolutely in love with them. These flowers look so lovely and are a great way to bring some beautiful colors inside the home.
Apply some hot glue to the back of the frame and glue the flowers to the frame. Hold the flowers for a few seconds while the hot glue starts to cool and dry up. Allow a few minutes to fully dry and the flowers to set in. Add a bit of hot glue to the bottom of the frame insert and add some moss to finish the design.
I added a small piece of white cardstock to the back of the frames to finish up but this is not necessary. The open frame with the lovely flowers also look amazing in some
I hope you get some inspiration from this project to try at your home. Do let me know how yours turn out.
