Zero Guilt Decadent Almond Cookies
Sometimes its OK to give in to those cravings for something sweet and decadent. The good thing is that those sweet and decadent indulgences can also be healthy and nutritious. These almond cookies are packed with nutrients, are really delicious and melt in your mouth. The Almond flour is a great nutritious replacement to wheat flour and is a great source of proteins and healthy fats. The addition of the flax seeds not only add fiber and Omega-3 which are very important for a balanced nutrition but also add a nutty flavor that is mouthwatering.
This recipe is not only nutrient packed, it is also very easy to make and will be done in almost no time.
Recipe:
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/4 cup ground flax seeds
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan sea salt
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
Set oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine all the ingredients in a medium size bowl and mix well. If the mix is too dry you can add a tablespoon of water at a time. Grab a tablespoon full of mix and with your hands form a ball then flatten in the form of a cookie. Place the cookies about half inch apart in a cookie sheet.
Bake cookies for 12-15 minutes.
Its that easy. But the best part is that this is a healthy recipe that I have no worries letting my daughter eat as many as she would like.
