Whipped soap is one of the soaps we always like to have and make at our home. We love making our own soaps not only because we know exactly what ingredients are in our products but also because we love doing all things DIY. This project is very simple and was actually made by my daughter; I only took pictures as she was making the mermaid blue exfoliating whipped soap.

How to make Mermaid Blue Exfoliating Whipped Soap
This craft is easy and you can make it with your kids in different variations and colors. I love getting my daughter to do some DIYs and explore what things she may like. She loves the mermaid blue color mica and we decided to use it for this project. We also had some green and blue jojoba beads and added those for mild exfoliation.
Exfoliating Whipped Soap Ingredients
- 8 oz foaming bath butter
- 1 oz Golden Jojoba Oil
- 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil
- 2 ml Lavender Essential Oil (both my daughter and I love lavender EO – learn more about essential oils)
- 1/8 tsp Mica soap colorants (optional)
- 1/4 tsp blue and green Jojoba beads
- Hand mixer
- Mixing bowls
- 2 – 4 oz jars with lid
Step by step instructions to make this wonderful soap
First, separate 8 oz from the foaming bath butter soap base container and whip for approximately two to three minutes. It will start turning in that beautiful whipped consistency.
Then add the golden jojoba oil, vitamin E, and the essential oil or fragrance if you plan to include it. Continue to whip for another two to three minutes until fully combined and you get a wonderful airy consistency. Lavender essential oil is one of the most used essential oils for DIY skin care. I love the aroma and the relaxing feeling it brings when I smell it.
Combine the mica colorants using a spatula. This will prevent a cloud of colorant all over the working area. Then, using the hand mixer, whip the soap for a few more minutes to make sure that the mica is fully incorporated.
Lastly, add the blue and green jojoba beads, and mix well using a spatula.
Once all ingredients are mixed in you can save the luxurious exfoliating whipped soap in the saving jars and use it as in the shower or bath. These are great in the shower using a loofah.
I decided to use the cold process soaps that my daughter made as props for the pictures to show how much she loves this mermaid blue color. I love that my daughter also enjoys making some of these crafts herself. Of course, I always help when she needs it. It makes me very happy to see her get inspired and creative and to see and enjoy her creations.
I hope that you are inspired by this easy DIY. Maybe even get your family involved when making this simple but gorgeous and skin loving soap.
