I have been creating mixed media art for some time and experimenting with various mediums in the digital art world. A few weeks ago I shared a small watercolor art collection that keeps growing. It has been exciting to see how the digital art world has grown in the last few years. There are now so many easily accessible tools for artists these days. I use the Pocreate app on my iPad and it’s one of my favorites when I work on my art. I have also been experimenting with Adobe Illustrator for the iPad. I am looking forward to creating a lot more art to share with you and make available in my Etsy Shop and Society6 shop as well.

The iPad that I currently have is an iPad Pro 12.9 inch screen and I also use the 2nd generation Apple Pencil. We also have an older iPad at home that my daughter uses and it has been amazing to see her create her own art. She has also been creating cards for her friends’ birthdays and for mother’s and father’s day. I absolutely love getting her cards with her beautiful artwork.
I also use my iPad to stay organized and plan my day. I usually just get my daily planner upload it to the Goodnontes app and plan at the end of the day or early in the morning. You can grab a free daily planner template below.
Making art on my iPad has been fantastic and makes it so much easier to continue to create art which is something that I love to do. I also love it is handy and easy to take with me everywhere. With all the new apps available it’s like having a full computer with you.
I used Procreate to create these mixed media art gift tags. Creating mixed media art is becoming easier with so many options for brushes available. One of my earlier brush purchases for Procreate was the alcohol ink brushes and I immediately got fascinated with it.
Below is a very short and fast video on how I created the simple alcohol ink I used in the background of the mixed media art gift tags printable I am sharing with you today. This alcohol ink art can also be used as a texture for other art projects and also as a background in projects.
With this simple alcohol ink art as a background, I used Canva to add some leaves and textured font and created these simple gift tags. Canva is another one of my favorite tools for graphic design. It has lots of great templates, fonts, and tools that can help create great assets.
To download the free printable gift tags you can just right click on the pictures above and save them to your computer using the “save image as”. You can also download the gift tags printable in PDF format here: Download the PDF file here.
How to print gift tags at home?
To print the mixed media art gift tags at home you can use the free printable gift tags PDF file and set up the printer to print at 100%. Depending on your printer, the options may be “Actual Size” or “No Scaling”. This setup will ensure the tags are printed in standard size 3.5″ x 2″.
Another option to print the gift tags at home is to use the PNG file. For this, insert the PNG images into a word document, then print the word document directly from your computer. This will also allow you to resize the tags if needed. These are raster files so make sure not to increase the size too much because they can get pixelated.
I hope you like these free printable gift tags and use them for gifts to friends and family.
