For this all natural cold process soap I chose to make a simple design with most of the soap in black with the activated charcoal and a hanger swirl using rose clay. Both ingredients are perfect for an all natural face soap that is not only practical but also a fun piece of art.

This all natural cold process face soap is not only a staple at home. My family requests it all the time. While this soap was formulated specifically for face use it can be used as an all body soap as well.
How to make Cold Process Soap for the face
Additives for the cold process face soap
Activated charcoal is great for the skin because it can absorb toxins and draw out impurities like oil, dirt, sweat, and makeup. Activated charcoal is recognized in the cosmetic industry and through research as highly beneficial for detoxing all skin types, and it does not cause allergic reactions or irritation. Activated charcoal is also great for gently exfoliating the skin surfacing beautiful and lovely skin.
Rose clay also known as pink clay or rose kaolin clay is one of the most gentle clays, it is non-drying and mild. Rose clay is recommended for dry, dehydrated, troubled skin. Rose clay is great for soothing the skin, minimizing blackheads, and replenishing minerals.

Essential oils used in this cold process face soap
For this all natural cold process face soap I decided to use some of my favorite essential oils that are great for the skin. I used lavender essential oil, tea tree essential oil, frankincense essential oil, and peppermint essential oil. Depending on the size of your soap batch you can determine the amount to use using a simple calculator similar to eocalc.com.
