How to make party favors with melt and pour soap
There are only a few steps to this DIY, but the final product is perfectly beautiful.
Start by cutting the honey melt and pour soap base and the shea butter melt and pour soap base into small cubes.
Melt 9 ounces of the shea butter soap base in the microwave using 30-second intervals.
Once melted, add the pink color mica and 0.5 ml of the Rose Quartz fragrance oil and mix well.

Pour the soap carefully into the soap mold and allow to cool to 90 degrees F. This will ensure there is a firm layer formed to hold the next two layers.

The honey melt and pour soap base has a beautiful amber color. For this party favors melt and pour soap DIY, I decided not to add any color or scent to this layer.

Allow the honey soap to reach 120 degrees F.

Spritz rubbing alcohol on top of the first layer of soap in the mold. This step is very important because this is what is going to help the layers adhere. Do not skip this step.
Pour the honey melt and pour soap base into the mold. You can break the fall using the spoon so that the soap falls more evenly.
Allow the soap to cool and form a top dry and hard layer to the touch.

While the first two layers are cooling, melt the remainder of the shea butter melt and pour soap base in the microwave using 30 second intervals.
Add the purple color mica and the remaining 0.5 ml of fragrance oil to the melted soap and mix well.

Spray a generous layer of rubbing alcohol on the top of the two layers of soap in the mold. This will ensure that this last layer fully adheres to the honey soap layer already in the mold. This step is critical – do not skip it!
Pour the purple soap base into the molds and allow it to cool.
Use a spoon to break the pressure of the pour to ensure that the bottom layer is not broken. This will ensure the two layers are distinct and separate.

Allow the soap to cool for a couple of hours.

Unmold the soap and cut using a soap cutter or a knife.
Decorate as needed for your party.

Tips and troubleshooting melt and pour soaps DIY
It is a good idea to keep a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol readily available when making melt and pour soaps. This can be used to remove the bubbles at the top of the soap and also aid in adhering layers. If you are using a double-pour technique, make sure to spray some rubbing alcohol at the end to remove any bubbles that may have formed.
Another troubleshooting tip is to make sure that the pouring temperature is within 10 to 15 degrees of the base soap. This will prevent the bottom layer from breaking. If the second layer of soap is too hot, it could break the first layer and mix with the rest of the soap.
This soap is not only gorgeous, but I love the beautiful thin line of the amber color from the honey soap and how perfect it is for party favors.
