Melt and pour soaps are a fun and quick way to create something special for friends and family. One thing I love most about melt and pour soaps is that they’re ready to use as soon as they’ve cooled and unmolded. In this DIY, I’m excited to share how to make a marbled Christmas-themed goat milk soap using a cute cupcake soap mold. These molds are small enough to make hand soaps that are great for stocking stuffers this Christmas season.

For this melt and pour soap I am using a marbled technique with green mica and red mica for a traditional Christmas color-themed soap. The marbled technique is another way to create intricate designs for your handmade soaps. I am using the cupcake soap mold but you can use any mold you have on hand; even a milk carton box will work.
There are so many wonderful melt and pour bases. I’ve listed some below. For this melt and pour Christmas soap I chose the goat milk melt and pour base. This base is made with goat milk and makes a lovely lather. It is one of my favorites and I always keep it at home.

How to make Christmas marbled goat milk melt and pour soap
The steps are relatively easy and the final product is just beautiful.
Start by cutting the goat milk melt and pour soap base into small cubes and separate 8 ounces in two separate microwave safe cups. One cup with 6 ounces and one cup with 2 ounces.
Melt the soap in the microwave using 30 second interval. Make sure the soap does not start boiling. This can reduce the lather properties of the soap base.
Once the soap is melted add a small amount of the green mica to the 6 ounce cup and the red mica to the 2 ounce cup. Mix well using a spoon.
Using both hands pour the Christmas goat milk soap into the mold. I also experimented with doing simple layers and allowing the soap to mix as I added the second layer.
Add some of the red shavings from the mold to the top of the poured soap to decorate the top.
Add red glitter and gold glitter to the top of the soap. I recommend buying glitters that have been tested for soap, these are generally very fine glitter and washes quickly as you use the soap.
Allow up to two hours for the Twisted Peppermint Christmas goat milk soap to cool.
Remove the soap from the mold and enjoy.
These Christmas soaps are fun and elegant, perfect as hand soaps, and great as a gift!

You simply melt the soap base, add your desired colors, scents, and additives, pour it into molds, and let it set. It’s a quick and convenient way to create custom soaps with minimal effort.
