Ultimate List of Gift Ideas for Artists who Draw and Paint

Today I am super excited to share a complete list of gift ideas for artists who draw and paint. Perfect for the artist at home. Not only at home but for friends and other relatives who are passionate about creating and exploring their creativity. I love to create art. Is one of my favorite things to do. I have been creating art ever since I was a child but as with all things in life, priorities shift and I am so happy that I have been able to bring this passion to life again in this blog and with the products that I create. You can find some of my art at my Etsy Shop and Redbubble.

One thing to take into account when shopping for an artist is to first consider their favorite medium. Artists usually find their preferred medium to work on. While I love creating in various mediums, I have found I love watercolors. This can change over time but it is a good starting point to figure out a good gift idea for the artist that paints or draws.

Now on to the list. I selected these items because I think some of them are not only unique in nature, some can be personalized and others are basic needs.

Whichever one you select I am sure it will be a great gift for the artist at home.

Artists Tools Bag

This Artist tools bag is perfect for the artist to take their favorite tools on the go and create a lovely masterpiece wherever inspiration strikes. Whether going on camping trips or just a stroll to the park this tools bag is perfect.

Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Studio Set

Gouache Paint Set

Also, a Master Brush Cleaner Preserver is a great option to preserve and maintain the brushes.

For the watercolor lover, these professional watercolor pencils are great to have.

Acrylic Gouache Paint Set

Sketch Books

Some dare to say that a sketchbook is like a journal to an artist and it may as well be. It is the perfect place to start creating once inspiration strikes. It is also used to further develop the skills and capture ideas for bigger projects. Like a journal, a sketchbook can be very personal and a good sketchbook is always a great idea.

Sketchbook for watercolor and mixed media

Hardcover Artist Sketchbook

Logbooks and Journals to capture inspiration wherever they are at

Adjustable Artist Apron

I like this Adjustable apron because it can be used for both art and crafts. It is perfect when you are in the zone creating and want to make sure that you are not distracted. I love that it has enough pocket space to keep brushes and other items at hand.

This adjustable apron is also another great option. I like that it is a neutral color and extends a bit longer. It is also made of cotton canvas, natural and waterproof.

Other unique gift ideas for the artist that will spark creativity

Handmade Watercolor brush bowl holder. I must admit I love creating watercolor art. These days I have been using my iPad to create my art but I love when I can sit down and sit down and enjoy the creative process with a brush at hand.

I like this leather paintbrush case because it is so versatile. If the artist at home likes to paint outside right in nature, or wherever he or she finds inspiration this is a fantastic gift idea.

Annual memberships to Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop are another great gift idea. These are perfect for digitizing and editing analog art as well as creating directly in the app.

Skillshare is a fantastic learning platform. I enjoyed the free subscription for a month and was able to complete so many classes that were so helpful that I decided to purchase the full-year subscription and I am so glad I did. I have found great artists who share their skills and give so much of their talent to help other artists. It is a fantastic platform. This would be an amazing gift for the artist at home.

Another one of my favorite learning platforms is Creative Live. This learning platform is great not only for art, learning photography, photoshop, and many other artist-related courses, it has great courses on business, entrepreneurship, and many others.

This Starry Night Puzzle is a perfect idea for those artists who also enjoy building puzzles. Working on puzzles is also a great idea to spend some quality time with family and friends.

And keeping with the theme of Vincent Van Gogh, this Let it Gogh shirt is the perfect pun shirt that the artist will love. You can find a few more Gogh shirt options with fun puns here.

I have several options of Phone Cases for both iPhone and Android, you can check out the store here.

iPad creative apps are also a great gift idea. Two that I recommend are Procreate and Affinity Designer.

Scanners and Storage Space

Artists need a lot of computer storage space to save all the files they create. I’ve already filled a 2TB drive with Photoshop files, Adobe Illustrator files, Procreate files, and others. Also, as the artist creates art it needs to be digitized so that it can be used in products or just to ensure

For storage space, I recommend the Seagate 8TB External Hard Drive

A great printer and scanner for the artist is the Epson FastFoto High Speed Photos and Documents scanner. If you want a more portable scanner the Epson Workforce Portable scanner is a great gift for scanning pictures and artwork.

I hope you found some great gift ideas in this list and found the perfect gift for your loved one. These are perfect Christmas gift ideas for artists as well as great birthday gift ideas for artists as well.

If you are looking for gift ideas for coffee lovers, I also have you covered on that. Head over to this Coffee Lovers Gift Ideas list to find the perfect gift as well. Gift ideas for the craft lover, I’ve got you covered there as well. Head over to the perfect gift ideas for crafters.

Marbled Clay Palette DIY

These past few days I have been good at keeping my daily painting practice.
