Paint a canvas with your favorite color, consider using an old canvas with picture or art that you may want to replace or that no longer fits the décor of your home. In this case, I used a new canvas because I was trying out the blue paint, I like this blue hue very much. Indeed, blue is one of my favorite colors and I had the paint already, since I had bought it for a different project.
While the canvas was drying, I decoupaged some small picture frames and decorated one with burlap flowers to give it a country style. I glued them together to give them a modern abstract look, eclectic kind of style with the country and modern touch. I then I placed the canvas in a nice picture frame and voila!, beautiful wall art for you and the family to enjoy.
Basic craft and art items that I normally have at the house are canvas, paint and scrapbook paper.
Having these at hand are a must for when I get the burst of isnpiration and creativity. Creating arts and crafts are things that I enjoy very much, one of my favorite hobbies and sharing the how to’s feels serves the purpose of the inspiration.
Sharing so that others may learn and get inspired too.
With that said, blue is not your favorite color? Try painting it pink for a girls room, orange, green, multiple colors, the possibilities are endless. Is burlap too country style?, There are so many other options on fabric flowers or paper flowers that you can use.
My goal here is to give you some inspiration so that you can make it yours and create your own wall art that will fit your needs and purpose.
One more tip on wall art and décor inspiration
If you like changing your décor often, or looking for a new fresh look, this is a very easy and inexpensive way to change the look. Another tip refreshing the look is to move your DIY art work to a different place in the house and rotate it. Just like seasonal décor, except this time its in a different visible place around the house, not put away until next year. This will help keep the home looking new again!
