I’m excited to share another winter-inspired whipped soap DIY with you. This Winter Peppermint Twist whipped soap DIY is a fun DIY that will inspire you and get you in the winter crisp and cozy days mood. The scents I selected for this fun holiday DIY are comparable to well-known scents such as Fraiser Fir and Twisted Peppermint. Combined, these two scents are the perfect winter scent for this lovely skincare DIY. The whipped soap DIY is perfect to make any time but with the beautiful bright blue and white colors and the combined scents, it takes you straight to the park on a winter stroll. I shared a Christmas-themed winter whipped soap a few weeks ago but I kept wanting more. And since I love experimenting with scents and colors and changing up the kinds of butter I use, I decided to share one more winter whipped soap DIY with you.

Creating whipped soap is one of my favorite skincare DIY projects. It’s incredibly versatile—you can easily customize it with different colors and scents to create unique whipped soaps for every season. For this winter peppermint twist soap DIY, you can use a whipped soap base or make your own. I have a DIY whipped soap base from scratch post that you can use to make your base from scratch. Otherwise, I recommend one of my favorite store-bought whipped soap bases, listed in the ingredients list below. This winter peppermint twist whipped soap is a great hostess gift to make for friends and family any time of the year.
Winter Peppermint Twist Whipped Soap
I chose to combine both the Fraser fir and the twisted peppermint fragrance oils for this winter whipped soap. These two scents are two of the favorites in the winter season. They combine perfectly for a nature-inspired yet sweet aroma that is perfect for this DIY. With the blue mica and blue and white twist, it is just the perfect treat for the holidays.
In this whipped soap DIY formulation, I’ve added mango butter. Mango butter is one of my favorites to add to my skincare products. I use it all the time in my cold process soaps, whipped soaps, and body butters. It is great for skin care products.
Benefits of Mango Butter:
Mango butter is a luxurious and versatile ingredient that brings great benefits to homemade skincare products. Rich in vitamins A, C, and E, it nourishes the skin. Also, research indicates, it promotes collagen production and helps improve elasticity. I love that it provides hydration without leaving a greasy residue, making it great for all skin types. Mango butter’s natural emollient properties help soothe dryness, reduce inflammation, and protect the skin from environmental stressors. Moreover, it is non-comedogenic which means it won’t clog pores. Mango butter has a subtle, tropical scent that adds a refreshing touch to any skincare creation. Incorporating mango butter into your DIY products enhances their quality and effectiveness, delivering a delightful, spa-like experience in the comfort of your home.
You can also replace the mango butter with kokum butter or shea butter.

How to make winter peppermint twist whipped soap
Separate 4 ounces from the whipped soap base container and place in a mixing bowl. Learn how to make whipped soap base from scratch in this post.
Weigh out the 1.5 ounces of mango butter and melt it in the microwave, allow it to start cooling, and then add to the mixing container with the whipped soap base.
Use the hand mixer and mix for a minute or two to mix the shea butter and base.
Add the sweet almond oil, Vitamin E oil, and fragrance oil if you plan to use it, and mix well for another five to seven minutes.
Mixing for five to seven minutes will incorporate air into the mix and will create the light and fluffy consistency of the whipped soap. Be patient, it is worth it.
Other oils I have used for whipped soap that are also great for the skin and can be used as a replacement for sweet almond oil are jojoba oil, rice bran oil, and grapeseed oil – all great for the skin with wonderful moisturizing properties. Rice bran oil is a wonderful replacement as it is also high in Vitamin E. I always keep these oil options on hand for my cold process soap formulations.
How to color the Winter Peppermint Twist whipped soap
Separate the whipped soap into two equal parts then add the blue mica colorant to one of the parts and keep the other half without any mica on the second container.
Mix the blue mica thoroughly using a spatula. Then whip for a few seconds to fully incorporate
To pipe the whipped soap into the jars and keep the colors separate, place the two colors of whipped soap side by side on a cling wrap, as shown below. Then insert the soap into a piping bag and pipe the whipped soap into the saving jars.
Use it as often as you want. This is just a great treat for the shower or bath.
