Today I went to Joann store and was inspired by a beautiful Paris, France stamps fabric.
I wanted to use it right away and decided to make some coasters with a small section it. I wanted to make a craft that can be made fairly quickly and let my imagination run with ideas of other crafts to work on at a later time with the rest of the fabric. Hopefully a larger type project. Coasters are very easy to make, it does not take long to finish and at the end you have a very practical piece of art that is used in almost every household. These can be used in a French Country style décor or vintage style décor. I used tiles that I had from the dollar store and mod podge, which I always have at hand! I tried to give them a vintage look by finishing some edges with chalky paint, it also covered some of the edges where I was not 100% straight when cutting the fabric. Next time, I’ll try my silhouette with a new cutting mat, I think it will make it so much easier and faster!
Below is a picture of the semi final product – pending a final coat of sealant to completely seal the surface since these will be a gift that I plan to give away in the next few days. I look forward to give these away as a gift, as with every craft that I make I put a whole lotta love and hope it brings joy to the home.
Since I was inspired and had a few extra tiles that I could use, and lots of beautiful paper I was able to make an additional set of six. I absolutely love the look! They came out perfect. I hope you like them too. You can order these at the shop.
The picture is a bit dark, I got so excited about the project and it was already dark when I finished. Enjoy and let your imagination run wild. You’ll be amazed at the things you can create!
