There are so many ideas for using Dollar Tree pumpkins for home décor. I wanted to try and use them myself this year for the Autumn decorations around the house. These upcycled dollar store pumpkins for decorating this fall will be taking a space around the entry table all season long. I love how these turned out with the matte finish in white and pink colors.

There is truly something special about decorating for Autumn. To me is the expectation of time with family and friends and the Holiday season approaching. I live in Texas so I can also appreciate the changes in the weather!
Materials needed for the Upcycled dollar store pumpkins for Autumn décor
- 2 Dollar Tree Styrofoam pumpkins medium
- 2 Dollar Tree Styrofoam store pumpkins small
- Folkart Milk paint Petticoat
- Folkart Chalk finish matte paint in Willow Mist
- Burlap Ribbon
- Paint brush
- E6000 Glue
Steps to make the Upcyled dollar store pumpkins for Autumn décor
First remove the stems from the medium size pumpkins. You can discard these since we are not using it for this project or save for another project at a later time.
Paint the medium size pumpkins using the pink matte chalk paint and the small pumpkins in the white matte paint. Allow to dry for a few hours.
Glue the small pumpkin on top of the medium size pumpkins.
Using the burlap ribbon cover the middle section between the pumpkins and glue the ends together.
Make two bows using the ribbon and glue the bow to the middle ribbon where the two ends connect.
I used a larger ribbon with small gold beads on the edges for the bow. I’ve had this ribbon at the house for some time now and I am so glad I finally found a project to use it. The burlap style and tiny beads from the ribbon give these pumpkins a lovely Farmhouse chic kind of look.
And voila! Upcycled dollar store pumpkins for Autumn home décor. This project is simple but can make a great impact for decorating this season.
I am so happy with how these turned out, a complete transformation and a unique decorating item for Autumn.
I should have tried this project long time ago. With the pink and white these pumpkins bring a muted Autumn décor yet still so lovely.
